Kelly-Anne Davitt’s Artist Biography
On graduating from London Guildhall University with a BA honours in Fine Art, Kelly-Anne Davitt was selected to exhibit in the BP Portrait Awards 2003 at the National Portrait Gallery. Since then she has been commissioned to paint a series of portraits and has exhibited and sold work at the prestigious Zoo Art Fair and at Group Shows in London.
She is currently working on a series of paintings entitled “Lost In Lovelyness”, in which she purposely produces images that are extremely beautiful and idyllic in the hope that they may serve to both engage and repel. Questioning whether too much of something lovely makes you nauseous.
Her work is blissfully and intentionally ignorant of any current culture or affairs. She intends to consume the viewer in loveliness. In both its form and content.
