Berry Hill Galleries, Inc.
Berry Hill’s roots are in American art, but they started up a contemporary art section in 1989. Today, the Gallery actually exhibits contemporary art more frequently than it does American Art. European art is also covered, but in less depth, and with fewer exhibitions. However, the European art they do show is of excellent quality. In total, the gallery runs about 3 to 4 exhibits a year.
The gallery takes pride in its confidential service to estates, museums and private collectors offering quality advice and guidance. It is also interested in collecting works either through outright purchase or via a commission.
If you are a serious collector, and want to arrange a viewing appointment, it would make sense to contact the gallery ahead of your visit (particularly if traveling to New York for a short trip) to ensure that the gallery can accommodate you.
We found the gallery eager to please and the staff will go out of their way to assist in any inquiries that you have. What is worth mentioning is that the works are for the more experienced buyer. That is not to say the gallery is gauche in any way but the art they have fits in with the needs of a connoisseur.
