Spanierman Gallery
This gallery focuses on dealing in nineteenth and early twentieth-century American art. The artists who have had or do have works with the gallery are pretty much a list of the best and brightest of the genre. Therefore, if American art is something that interests you, a visit to this gallery is a must.
One of the primary goals of the art gallery is to continually educate the American public about its artistic and cultural roots.
Exhibitions tend to run for no more than two-months, and the gallery covers 12,000sq feet. We think this makes the gallery appealing not only to those who are mad about the type of art on display, but also those who do not want to plan too much time planning their schedule in advance – because the quality of work on display, and the regular turnover of art on exhibit means that your visit is bound to be a pleasurable one.
The gallery is a member of many art organizations including the Art and Antique Dealers League of America, the Appraisers Association of America, the Antiques Council, the Confederation Internationale des Negociants en Oeuvres d’Art, the Fine Art Dealers Association (Gavin Spanierman is a former President), the Thomas Cole Foundation (Mr. Spanierman is currently Executive Director and President) and the Thomas Cole House (Mr. Spanierman is on the Board of Advisors).
