What about Tax?

Exemplars is responsible for tax obligations that accrue in connection with the commissions we earn, and with regards to the delivery charges. Any other taxation is your responsibility.

We are not qualified to offer any specific advice. If you require further advice on tax, we would recommend contacting an appropriately qualified accountant.

How will I be paid?

Payment will be made 15 days after delivery into your designated account.

What are Terms and Conditions apply to Sales?

Terms and Conditions are primarily set out in two documents: Conditions of Use and Sale, and the Artist Agreement.

What value of paintings can I display?

On Exemplars, we display art priced £2,500 and upwards.

The loveart art gallery displays art priced between £750 and £3,000.

Can I display a piece of art elsewhere?

We do not stipulate that a piece of art listed on Exemplars can only be listed on our art gallery. The only requirement is that you take steps to ensure that items cannot be sold twice, as this would be a significant disappointment to the customer, and damage our reputation.

The email notices we provide you when a sale is being made will help you notify other websites that the item is no longer for sale. Please ensure that you operate a similar approach, and contact us if a sale occurs elsewhere.

Do I need insurance?

We warrant that loveart will compensate you for any damages or losses that occur during transportation, if our delivery service provider is found to be at fault.

We are not qualified to offer any specific advice. If you are unsure about whether you need insurance, we would recommend contacting an insurance broker.

Who pays for delivery?

The buyer will pay for delivery. The cost to them is automatically calculated during the order placement process. You do not need to pay for the delivery of your art to the buyer.

What do I need to do in connection with delivery?

Pick up and delivery will be arranged by Exemplars, using either Fed-Ex, UPS, or DHL.

Packaging is your responsibility. It is extremely important that you pack the art appropriately.

Does Exemplars own or stock the art?

We do not stock or own any of the art that is listed for sale.

What are my commitments?

There are no minimum commitments, no exclusivity agreements, no joining fees, and no monthly subscription.

You decide how many pieces of art you want us to display, and have the ability to add and remove your art from the gallery.
